What can I order through the postal shop?

The postal shop offers available boxes rather than individual slices. Depending on current availability, this may include half trays, full trays and mystery boxes.

Is postage included?

Yes. Standard postage is included in the displayed price of postal products unless the website clearly states otherwise.

How do I pay?

Online payments are securely processed through the payment provider displayed during checkout.

Monkey Bakes does not directly store your complete payment-card details.

Why has the website offered me a later dispatch date?

Monkey Bakes limits weekly orders to a manageable production capacity. If the next dispatch is full, the website may offer a later available week.

Check the scheduled dispatch date before completing payment.

Dispatch and delivery

When will my order be dispatched?

Orders placed from Monday through Sunday are normally prepared for the next available Thursday dispatch, subject to capacity.

When should my order arrive?

Orders are dispatched with the intention of arriving on Friday. Postal or courier delays can occasionally occur, so Friday arrival cannot be absolutely guaranteed.

Will I receive tracking?

If tracking is available for your delivery, it will be provided when the order is dispatched.

What should I do if my order arrives damaged?

Contact Monkey Bakes as soon as reasonably possible. Keep the product and packaging and take clear photographs of the parcel and affected items.

Do not eat anything that appears unsafe.

Subscriptions

Which subscription frequencies are available?

Choose One Box Monthly, dispatched on the second Thursday, or Two Boxes Monthly, dispatched on the second and fourth Thursdays. Both use one monthly payment.

Can I skip a subscription month?

The complete next subscription month can be skipped through the subscription account before the displayed cutoff. No payment is collected and no subscription boxes are sent for that month. The subscription resumes automatically afterwards.

What happens if my subscription payment fails?

A reminder may be sent with a two-day payment period. If payment remains unsuccessful, the subscription may end automatically and you will be notified.

A subscription order is not dispatched unless its payment has been confirmed.

What happens if subscriptions are full?

You may be able to join the subscription waiting list. If capacity becomes available through a cancellation or an increase in capacity, Monkey Bakes can contact people waiting for a place.

Custom cakes

How much does a celebration cake cost?

Custom celebration cakes currently start from £70. The final price depends on size, flavour, fillings, finish and decoration.

Which cake flavours are available?

Current cake flavours are vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, Biscoff and lemon.

Available main fillings are vanilla, chocolate, lemon or Biscoff buttercream, and cream cheese frosting.

Optional luxury fillings include strawberry jam, cherry compote, Biscoff spread, salted caramel, lemon curd and cookies and cream.

Can I send inspiration photographs?

Yes. The custom-cake form accepts up to three JPG, PNG or WebP photographs, with a maximum size of 4 MB per photograph.

Photographs are used for inspiration. An exact copy of another baker’s work cannot be guaranteed.

Does sending an enquiry reserve my date?

No. A date is only booked after Monkey Bakes has confirmed the order and any required payment has been received.

Cupcakes, bouquets and local bakes

Which cupcake styles are available?

Cupcakes are available in Basic, Superior and Floral styles. Prices depend on the design and level of detail.

Which cupcake bouquet sizes are available?

Standard bouquet sizes are 3, 7, 12 or 24 cupcakes. Contact Monkey Bakes to discuss a larger bouquet.

Which tray bakes can I order?

The available selection may change. Current choices are shown in the Local Bakes enquiry form and individual product prices are shown when products are available.

Allergens and dietary requirements

Do you offer gluten-free products?

No. Monkey Bakes does not currently offer gluten-free cakes or bakes.

Can you guarantee that products are allergen-free?

No. Products are prepared in a kitchen that handles multiple allergens. Monkey Bakes cannot guarantee freedom from traces or cross-contamination.

How are mystery-box allergy requests handled?

Where possible, an item directly containing a specified allergen can be replaced with another available item that does not directly contain it.

This does not make the replacement allergen-free, and cross-contamination cannot be ruled out.
